Welsh jewellery brand Clogau has secured new listings with six airlines in 2018 for its travel retail-exclusive Kensington range.
Kensington is inspired by the filigree detail on Kensington Palace gates. It has been designed in conjunction with Historic Royal Palaces, the charity responsible for maintaining six royal palaces in the UK. A percentage of all Kensington sales goes to the charity.
Clogau International Account Manager Aran Turner said that interest in the brand’s jewellery has increased since the announcement of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s engagement last month.
He said: “We’ve secured a number of new airline listings in 2018 for products from our Kensington range, including airBaltic, Hong Kong Airlines, HK Express, Singapore Airlines and SilkAir and we hope to confirm additional listings over the coming weeks.
“We are supporting listings of products from the Kensington range by offering prizes to airlines who wish to run onboard competitions for their passengers.”
Clogau underlined its ties with British royalty with the launch of exclusive ranges, including Kensington, at this year’s TFWA World Exhibition & Conference. Other collections include collaborations with Welsh fashion designer David Emanuel and Swarovski Gemstones.
All inflight collections are made from sterling silver and 9ct gold. Each piece contains Welsh gold, as used by some members of the British royal family for over 100 years.
“As the jewellery channel becomes increasingly competitive in travel retail, Clogau strives to offer retailers something different, made from solid precious metals, at an affordable price,” Turner concluded.
