Clear Channel begins major PenFed Credit Union out-of-home campaign at Washington Dulles Airport

USA. PenFed Credit Union – the US’s second largest federal credit union – has launched a major out-of-home advertising campaign with Clear Channel Airports (CCA) at Washington Dulles International Airport.

Tension fabric wall displays with light and sound features are among PenFed’s new portfolio of advertisements at Washington Dulles International Airport

The “PenFed Saves You Money” campaign is located in one of the most heavily-trafficked areas within the airport, around the tunnel connecting departing and arriving United Airlines Hub passengers between Concourse C and the AeroTrain station heading to transfer flights and the main terminal.

“Savvy brands, like PenFed, are paying attention to the week-over-week increases in passenger traffic at some of our nation’s busiest airports to make an informed decision about re-entering the marketplace at the right time with a new campaign” – Clear Channel Airports President Morten Gotterup

CCA said that the out-of-home package agreed with PenFed “allows complete brand domination” in these areas.

The PenFed advertisements will run until the end of 2021 on six mezzanine level concourse tension fabric displays, two wall wraps and two lit tension fabric displays beside an escalator.

Clear Channel Airports President Morten Gotterup told The Moodie Davitt Report: “The DC Metro area airports remain a significant economic driver as our country recovers from the pandemic and as business and leisure travel resumes.”

PenFed Credit Union President/CEO James Schenck said: “PenFed is in a perfect position to ramp up our presence here in our hometown Washington region while also reaching travellers from across the nation.”

CCA’s contract with Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority commenced in 2016 and covers both Washington Dulles and Ronald Reagan Washington National airports. It will run for an initial eight years, with a two-year extension option.
