CHINA (HONG KONG). Experiential marketing, brand activation and consumer engagement specialist CircleSquare is to host the next Women in Travel Retail (WiTR) fundraiser for Hong Kong charity ImpactHK.
ImpactHK is a non-profit organisation that provides food and shelter, financial, educational and employment support to homeless people in the city. As reported, the charity was among the beneficiaries from donations made at the recent Virtual Travel Retail Expo (see also below).
The latest WiTR event — to be held at CircleSquare’s Quarry Bay offices on 12 November from 6-9pm — takes the place of CircleSquare’s monthly ‘Creative Rendez-Vous’ networking series in Hong Kong.
The event is open to CircleSquare’s clients, associates and to the wider business community.
All guests are encouraged to donate a minimum of HK$100 to the charity and CircleSquare has committed to match all donations from the event.
In addition, guests will receive a special goody bag of travel retail exclusive products from wellness brand Rituals. They will also enjoy drinks sponsored by Pernod Ricard and food by popular local restaurant Cali-Mex.
“These monthly events are a great opportunity for our clients to network in a relaxed environment,” said CircleSquare Managing Partner Stephane Zermatten. “We are particularly pleased to be able to collaborate on this occasion with our friends at Women in Travel Retail to raise money for the great cause of ImpactHK.”
Zermatten added, “I’d also like to thank our sponsors for their support to the event, on this occasion Pernod Ricard, Rituals and Cali-Mex – they will all contribute to what I am sure will be another great meet-up. We would love to see some new faces attend and take the opportunity for some great conversations.”
Speaking on behalf of Women in Travel Retail, Lacoste Travel Retail Director Erin Lillis commented: “Chances to meet with friends and peers have been pretty scarce because of COVID-19 this year, especially with the cancellation of the TFWA events in Singapore and Cannes, so it’s great to be involved in organising a safe and stimulating event of this nature. It’s a fine initiative from CircleSquare, and a great opportunity to raise money for WiTR’s chosen charity, ImpactHK.”
As reported, FILTR, The Moodie Davitt Report’s stand curation partner for the Virtual Travel Retail Expo, is donating US$16,000 to ImpactHK, having pledged a portion of its design fees from the event to the charity.
Women in Travel Retail (WiTR) also hosted its annual fund-raising meeting at the Moodie Davitt Virtual Travel Retail Expo on 15 October.
