Brown-Forman Global Travel Retail will initiate a full roll-out of Jack Daniel’s Bottled-In-Bond and Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Rye at the upcoming TFWA Asia Pacific Exhibition & Conference in Singapore (Basement 2 N1).
Jack Daniel’s Assistant Master Distiller Chris Fletcher, a key player in the development of the two expressions, will be on hand to share his thoughts on the new products.
Fletcher’s grandfather, Frank Bobo, was the fifth of seven Jack Daniel’s Master Distillers serving from 1966 until 1989. That period is regarded as one of “remarkable growth” for the Tennessee whiskey. As a youth Fletcher would often accompany his grandfather around the distillery as Bobo went about his duties.
Jack Daniel’s Bottled-In-Bond and Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Rye were highlighted by Brown-Forman at last month’s Summit of the Americas in Orlando. Brown-Forman has said that Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Rye was initially on allocation impeding full distribution in travel retail but that ample quantities are now available.
Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Rye made its initial appearance in travel retail in late 2017 and Bottled-In-Bond will begin appearing on shelves in early summer. Both expressions are permanent additions to the Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey Family of Brands; Bottled-In Bond-is also a global travel shopping exclusive.
