Chivas Brothers releases final two parts of Secret Speyside Collection

Pernod Ricard-owned Chivas Brothers has completed the Secret Speyside Collection by exclusively releasing two whiskies from Caperdonich Distillery in key airports globally.

Caperdonich distilled its final single malt in 2002 before the distillery was taken down brick by brick in 2011. The two new additions, the 25-year-old peated malt and 30-year-old unpeated malt, are the oldest of the six expressions from the distillery included in the Secret Speyside Collection.

As reported, the set of 15 rare whiskies from four seldom-seen, yet highly sought after, distilleries has been released in 25 airports across 15 markets. Pernod Ricard has reported particularly strong sales in London Heathrow and Taiwan Taoyuan International airports.

The Secret Speyside Collection is allowing travellers to sample seldom-seen Scotch distilleries including Caperdonich, which distilled its final single malt in 2002

Pernod Ricard Global Travel Retail Marketing Manager for Malts Laura Lung said: “We are thrilled with the overwhelmingly positive response to the Secret Speyside Collection and at the strong appetite from travellers to find out more about these fabled distilleries. Supported by tasting events and in-airport activations, the goal when launching this curated selection of whiskies was to allow Scotch single malt enthusiasts the opportunity to not just sample some of the rarest liquid from the Speyside region, but to also learn about what makes this abundant area of Scotland so unique.

“Whether for personal consumption or as a special gift to family and friends, Secret Speyside offers customers a unique and memorable experience, and these two final additions from Caperdonich provide a fitting finale to this prestigious collection.”
