Chef Michael Symon kicks off Paradies Lagardère’s Treat Our Troops campaign

USA. American chef and television personality Michael Symon will open Paradies Lagardère’s annual Treat Our Troops programme at Pittsburgh International Airport on 20 November.

Through the programme Paradies Lagardère offers military personnel a free menu item and drink at its restaurants nationwide during Thanksgiving week. Chef Symon will breakfast with military service members at his Bar Symon restaurant, a collaboration with Paradies Lagardère and United Concessions Group (UCG) in the Airmall USA shopping centre. The eatery opened at the airport in 2012.

The celebrity chef will also meet and greet passengers and offer a book signing of his new cookbook “˜5 in 5 for Every Season: 165 Quick dinners, Sides, Holiday Dishes, and More’.

Airmall USA Senior Vice President Jay Kruisselbrink said: “Not only are we excited to have Chef Symon back in Pittsburgh, it will be a special privilege to welcome these brave men and women who serve our country.”

UCG Vice President Ben Rababy added: “We’re honored that Bar Symon is hosting such a remarkable group for breakfast.”

From 23 to 27 November active and retired military service personnel can show their military ID cards when ordering or checking out at Bar Symon for a complimentary meal.

“Treat Our Troops is our way of serving our military members in appreciation for serving us all year long,” said Paradies Lagardère President and CEO Gregg Paradies. “We’re grateful that Chef Symon will be joining us to kick off the programme.”
