Charlotte Douglas Airport partners with M2mobi in digital parking solution

USA. Charlotte Douglas International Airport has partnered with digital agency M2mobi to offer customers the facility to reserve and pay for parking spaces through the airport’s website and mobile apps.

The parking experience is now integrated into the travel hub’s CLT Digital Airport Platform (DAP), which has been developed by M2mobi.

The DAP powers essential digital passenger facing services to increase non-aeronautical revenues and enhance the passenger experience.

M2mobi noted that parking is a key non-aeronautical revenue source for Charlotte Douglas International. It said many visitors want to reserve and pay for available parking space in advance.

The new digital service now secures them a parking spot and a better price, according to the DAP’s creator.

M2mobi said the first results of the parking reservation integration were “very strong”. The web and app usage for parking has more than tripled since the release of the new implementation, the digital agency claimed.

The airport has commissioned Aeroparker to enable the digital reservations.

Charlotte Douglas International Airport Chief Business & Innovation Officer Ted Kaplan said: “We really see great value in how our passengers use the parking reservation system, both for the passenger experience and for our revenues. M2mobi and Aeroparker have done a great job on integrating the parking reservation into our Digital Airport Platform.”

M2mobi provides mobile apps and websites for other airports including Hong Kong International, Dubai International and Dallas Fort Worth International.
