Changi Airport hosts a tokidoki takeover in T3 in time for March school holidays

SINGAPORE. Changi Airport has launched a series of installations and events for the March school holidays based on the colourful world of lifestyle brand tokidoki.

A 24-metre long inflatable playground, a walk-through tokidoki-themed show flat, and meet-and-greet sessions with two tokidoki characters – SANDy and Donutella – are among the activities on offer in Terminal 3.

The playground features a series of tokidoki-themed obstacles, a slide, a trampoline and a ball-pit.

The free-to-enter showroom, called tokidoki@home, is located in T3 Basement 2. It comprises a living room and two bedrooms and incorporates special tokidoki designs. Items on display in the show flat will be available for purchase. These include bedsheets, cushion covers, towels, and more.

Changi Airport Group noted that the “psychedelic” rooms and life-sized tokidoki mascots would provide a great backdrop for photos, which could be shared on social media platforms such as Instagram.

Visitors can also take away a GIF photo souvenir and shopping vouchers from Changi Airport’s online shopping portal iShopChangi (www.iShopChangi.com) at a tokidoki photobooth located outside the show flat.

The tokidoki@home show flat comprises a living room and two bedrooms in special tokidoki designs.

Travellers will also be able to purchase limited edition Changi Airport-exclusive tokidoki collectibles. These feature Changi Airport locations such as the control tower, Slide@T3 and the Kinetic Rain art installation, and are available as purchase-with-purchase premiums.

With every qualifying spend of S$60 ($80 at supermarkets), visitors can redeem exclusive collectibles such as passport covers, 4-in-1 travel cubes and matching mother-daughter bags.

Changi Rewards members can redeem a limited-edition cabin-sized luggage bag free of charge, with a S$688 spend of up to five combined receipts (limited to first 500 customers only).

Lifestyle brand tokidoki is based on the vision of Italian artist Simone Legno and his partners, serial entrepreneurs Pooneh Mohajer and Ivan Arnold. It is known for its emphasis on colour and cuteness.

Visitors can also redeem a free tokidoki kids’ activity pack containing a colour-in tokidoki jigsaw puzzle, a multi-colour crayon and a limited edition tokidoki x Changi Airport sticker sheet when they dine in any of the participating restaurants in the public areas.

With a minimum spend of S$100, shoppers can redeem a S$10 voucher using the promo code ‘WINTKDK’ for purchases made on iShopChangi. From 4 April, weekly top spenders (determined by highest net spend in a single transaction) on iShopChangi will also receive a complimentary set of exclusive autographed tokidoki merchandise.
