UK. Champagne Lanson is celebrating over 40 years as the official Champagne of The Championships, Wimbledon.

This year, Champagne Lanson will once again be the exclusive Champagne available in all the bars and hospitality marquees on the grounds of The All England Lawn Tennis & Croquet Club during the highly-anticipated sporting event.

According to the Champagne house, its partnership with Wimbledon is underpinned by common values of “coming together and sharing a true passion for sporting excellence”.

To mark this important milestone, Maison Lanson has revealed the latest edition of its Wimbledon-inspired bottle jackets. The 2021 designs are modelled on the classic tennis polo shirt and are available in pink and navy colourways.

A pink polo piquet covers the Lanson Le Rosé, while a navy polo shirt embraces Lanson’s signature Le Black Label Brut. Both expressions are now available with Lagardère Travel Retail at London City Airport and Luton Airport from June until the end of August.

Champagne Lanson has also created a 360-degree campaign in the UK to promote the Wimbledon-inspired bottle covers. It has launched limited-edition Wimbledon-inspired picnic hampers to be enjoyed during The Championships. The hampers feature a bottle of Lanson Le Black Label Brut, Champagne flutes and a spread of British picnic foods. The company hopes that the hamper will enable tennis fans to enjoy the Wimbledon experience at home.

Champagne Lanson is also rolling out several activations across 100 different venues in the UK including Lanson bars, restaurants and hotels.

The perfect Wimbledon serve

“We are extremely excited to be returning to SW19 for The Championships, Wimbledon for 2021,” said Champagne Lanson UK Managing Director Robert Rand. “Although this year will be a little different, we know fans will be celebrating wherever they may be and Lanson is delighted to have created opportunities around the country to ensure people can join in and share the true joy of this iconic sporting occasion.”

Champagne Lanson’s partnership with Wimbledon began in 1977. The Champagne house also has a longstanding history with the Royal Family and was appointed Official Supplier to the Royal Court of England in 1900. Since then, Champagne Lanson has had its warrant continuously renewed by every successive monarch.
