“A significant step forward in building brand awareness and reputation” – Champagne Lanson eyes expansion in Mainland China with Enoteca

Champagne Lanson President François Van Aal said: “We are looking forward to a very long and successful partnership in China as we strongly believe Enoteca Shanghai is the perfect partner to convey our values and brand philosophy to all wine lovers.

“We already have strong common synergies in Asia and are very excited to join our strengths and new brand vision to grow our brand in a very promising market such as China”.

Champagne Lanson Head of Travel Retail Edouard de Boissieu said: “This is really important and very positive news for Champagne Lanson as we seek to develop distribution for the brand in Asia travel retail and particularly China.

“The increased presence of Lanson on the Chinese domestic retail market is a significant step forward in building brand awareness and reputation.”

Enoteca was founded in 1988 to specialise in retail, wholesale and ecommerce in Japan.

It has since extended its network to Hong Kong, China, Korea, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand to become one of the largest luxury wine merchants in Asia.

As reported, Champagne Lanson celebrated its 260th anniversary last year, renewing its branding and launching an ‘It’s all about love’ campaign.

Part of its core range, which includes Le Black Label Brut, Le Rosé, Le White Label Sec and recent releases Le Black Réserve and Le Blanc de Blancs, will be available in China from June following a launch event in Shanghai.

Enoteca will also distribute Le Vintage 2009 and Le Clos Lanson, along with The Lanson Vintage Collection.
