Celebrating with a Birthday Bash: Journify marks first anniversary

MALAYSIA. Journify, the online marketplace from Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG), has marked its one-year anniversary with a ‘Birthday Bash’ at the 1 Utama Shopping Centre, in Petaling Jaya.

As part of a month-long celebration, the five-day event, which runs until 24 July, includes product discounts and the opportunity to win flight tickets to anywhere in Malaysia.

Journify is offering its members -30% off, double Enrich Points and free shipping – supported by its logistics partner DHL – on all purchases made via its online platform until 31 July.

If customers choose not to sign up, they can still shop on Journify and check out as a guest to enjoy -10% off their purchases during the promotion period.

Brands participating in the on-ground celebrations include Tiarasa Escapes, PenanLab, F&N Creameries, Karyaneka, 3Rituals, Batik Boutique, Little Joe, Kantin Lab, and MAG’s own Firefly, Enrich and Malaysia Airlines, which is offering -20% off on its flights exclusively during this promotion period.

Visitors are encouraged to participate in various fun activities which include a vortex tunnel introducing the Journify world and photo opportunities, including a snap with a replica of its signature cat character. A human claw machine offers prizes and the event includes a Journify Passport to Prizes activity.

Speaking at the Birthday Bash, Malaysia Airlines Group Chief Marketing and Customer Experience Officer Yin May Lau said: “Over the past year, Journify has provided a platform for both small, homegrown businesses and companies to market their products as an extensive service to our travel ecosystem.

“We are delighted with the progress made since we launched this platform a year ago, with several milestones to digitalise and facilitate seamless purchasing and browsing experiences for customers.”

Lau pointed out that Journify is home to over 100 merchants, with over 5,000 products, including local brands “which we are proud to collaborate with as travellers and shoppers alike can take a taste of Malaysia and its culture home with them”.

Major milestones for the platform include hitting over MYR10 million (US$2.2 million) in sales, collaborations to offer exclusive products and the launch of the Journify app earlier this year, which has garnered over 1 million downloads, and the Journify2U service.

“We look forward to celebrating more milestones through the coming years. This is just the beginning of our journey, and we are continuously building upon our platform to make travel and lifestyle a seamless and cohesive experience,” Lau added.

Launched in July 2021, Journify represents MAG’s third business, focusing on providing end-to-end travel solutions and complementing its established strength and expertise in the airline and aviation services businesses.

As an integrated travel and lifestyle platform, Journify provides a personalised travel experience solution that allows consumers to have access information, facilitating travel plans and offering the opportunity to shop for the products and services they need, anytime and anywhere.

The platform also offers the Journify2U service, allowing domestic and international passengers departing from or arriving into Kuala Lumpur International Airport to have products purchased on Journify delivered to them at the boarding or arrival gate.
