Celebrating the summer of 2022: Areas launches concert series

SPAIN. Leading travel retail and food & beverage company Areas has launched a series of concerts in selected Spanish airports, travel plazas and train stations.

Over 80 performances will take place during July and August as the company aims to improve customer experience through musical interludes during their summer travels.

Live performances began last weekend with music producer and DJ Edu Freud at Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat Airport.

The events will take place on Friday, Saturday and Sunday in July and August in Barcelona and on selected days this month at Ibiza and Palma de Mallorca airports.

Areas is also promoting concerts at selected motorway service areas and at the Barcelona Sants, Madrid’s Atocha Botanical Garden and Valencia’s Joaquín Sorolla train stations.

According to Areas, the concerts will feature DJs and various musical genres such as summer hits, house, funky, disco, pop and rumba. Some of the concerts are sponsored by Areas’ main partners Coca-Cola and Mahou.

“Areas has been promoting concerts in its establishments for years to improve travellers’ experience, encourage the safety stop of those who travel by car during the holidays and entertain and liven up the wait for those who do it by train or plane,” the company said.
