GERMANY. Travel F&B specialist casualfood has made key changes to its management team, with Michael Schorm and Andreas Förster – both long-standing members of its Executive Board – named Managing Directors.

At the same time, the company’s founders Stefan Weber and Michael Weigel have taken seats on a newly established Strategic Advisory Board, alongside Orior CEO Daniel Lutz and CFO Andreas Lindner.

As reported, Orior Group acquired the final tranche of shares in casualfood in September, completing a transaction which was part of a strategic partnership agreement struck between the two companies in 2018.

The new casualfood management team also includes Head of Finance and Financing Controlling Patricia Breitsameter. Human Resources and Corporate Culture will be headed by Anette Clauss while Josef Naschberger is the new General Manager of Operations.

Schorm and Förster described casualfood as a “great company with a remarkable success story and an incredibly good team spirit”.

“We are very proud to have the privilege of taking casualfood forward as its new Managing Directors after many years working at the firm,” they said.

“We relish the opportunity to further develop the business with an emphasis on both sustainability and success.”

The managing directors highlighted several management priorities which include:

  • enhancing the quality and innovativeness of casualfood’s products and concepts
  • supporting managers’ and employees’ development
  • expanding the team to ensure the business is “fit for the future and able to grow”
  • tapping new opportunities and growth potential with a focus on Berlin Brandenburg Airport, Germany in general and other German-speaking countries
  • sustainability and digitalisation.✈
