casualfood named national winner at Hamburg Food Service Award

GERMANY. Travel food specialist casualfood has been named the national winner at the Hamburg Food Service Award.

The award was presented to casualfood on Friday 9 March at a ceremony held at Hamburg’s Grand Elysée Hotel.

casualfood won the award primarily for its rapid growth in the travel catering sector. The company entered the industry in 2005 when it opened a pretzel cart at Frankfurt Airport. Now, casualfood has net sales of more than €50 million and over 700 employees.

casualfood Managing Partners Stefan Weber and Michael Weigel said: “We are delighted to have been given this award. We have put a great deal of work and dedication into developing our concepts. The Hamburg Food Service Award is excellent recognition of this and tells us we are absolutely on the right track.”
