Caroline Andreotti named Executive VP, Global Travel Retail as Coty re-establishes stand-alone channel organisation

Caroline Andreotti: Years of experience in travel retail and the key China market

US beauty house Coty has re-established a separate stand-alone organisation for the travel retail channel. It is headed by the much-respected Caroline Andreotti, who is appointed Executive VP, Global Travel Retail, based in Geneva.

Announcing the changes to business partners, Coty Chief Commercial Officer Edgar Huber described her as a beauty expert with over 20 years’ experience in the fragrance, skin care, body care and colour categories across Asia.

Andreotti spent 12 years in a variety of senior roles with Coty before a short stint with Philip Morris International as Head of Consumer Experience, Marketing and Digital Duty Free from May to September this year. Her particular experience of travel retail and of the key China market is a big boost to Coty’s aspirations for the channel.

She was the company’s Director Travel Retail Asia Pacific from June 2008 until August 2011. Later she held senior posts as General Manager China, General Manager South East Asia and from October 2016 until May 2020 as General Manager China Luxury.

Edgar Huber: Addressing the importance and specific needs of the travel retail channel

Huber said: “Driven by the importance and specific needs of the travel retail channel, we have decided to re-establish the channel as a separate stand-alone organisation, supported by a multifunctional leadership team, including Paula Larroque for TR Americas (Miami), Olivier Louis for TR Asia-Pacific (Singapore), Nicolas Morel for TR Europe (Geneva), Markus Stauss for Global Marketing (Geneva) and Eymeric Monange for Global Trade Marketing (Geneva).”

Huber took the opportunity to recognise Txema Marquiegui (SVP, Travel Retail) for his dedication and contribution to the business of travel retail over the last months. Marquiegui will focus on Coty’s Go To Market transformation projects across all regions, reporting to Huber.
