Capi introduces Nokia Steel activity and sleep tracker watch

EUROPE. Capi has increased its focus on the ‘smart health’ trend with the introduction of Nokia’s latest activity and sleep tracker watch to selected airports.

The Nokia Steel is available now at Capi stores in Copenhagen, Frankfurt, Munich, Johannesburg and Schiphol airports.

Traveller friendly: The Nokia Steel automatically sets itself to the correct local time

The smartwatch automatically tracks movements, analyses sleep and gives detailed insights on daily activity progress. Steel has an eight-month battery life, automatically syncs with the free Nokia Health Mate app and sets itself to the correct local time when travelling.

Nokia Steel is presented on Capi’s Action Marketing Table, which features demo watches in different colours, and the What’s New? showcase. Capi was the first retailer to introduce the Nokia Steel limited edition in rose gold.

Nokia Sales Director North Europe Nicolas Nepper said: “In the frame of launching the Nokia brand into the digital health market, we identified Capi as a key partner. Bringing innovative connected devices to promote collective health is our daily commitment. The premium positioning of Capi stores and its international audience made this partnership obvious.”

Royal Capi-Lux Managing Director Peter Wiggers commented: “At Capi, we constantly search for innovations and trends that will inspire travellers and we respond to constant changes in the market. Just like the developments in the personal care category, we will now strongly focus on the upcoming smart health trend. The Nokia Steel combines the latest technology in activity watches with a stylish design.”
