Airport consumer electronics retailer Capi will bring its latest innovations in virtual reality (VR) and drones plus its Gadget Table to TFWA World Exhibition (Blue Village, G31).

Capi will highlight the DJI Mavic Pro drone and the mini Spark drone, priced at €599, in Cannes. DJI’s mid-priced drones are said to have proved popular in Capi’s stores.

DJI is an important player in the drone market and answers to the lack of mid-priced drones, said Capi

The DJI Goggles will be showcased on a VR counter on Capi’s stand and will allow visitors to discover the immersive VR experience.

The Gadget Table will form the centrepiece of Capi’s stand in Cannes. Royal Capi-Lux Managing Director Peter Wiggers commented: “With The Gadget Table, we surprise travellers with exciting gifts and gadgets. At TFWA World Exhibition & Conference, we will present surprising gadgets like the Pearl mini powerbank mirror, the Mitone VR glasses and the flying ball Flash Ball, which visitors can try out and discover in our stand. And as a special, you will find ‘Sweet notes’ on this table. These are small personal messages to remind travellers to buy a present for their friends, family or business relations.”

In other news, Capi’s marketing concept Travellers Choice, which presents a pre-selected choice of fast-selling and best reviewed products, has been updated. The wall concept is said to now clearly focus on the brand’s marketing drivers ‘Emotion, Focus & Competence’ and will be presented in Cannes.

Emotion, Focus & Competence: The Travellers Choice concept offers a preselection of fast-selling, best-reviewed products

The left part of the wall is dedicated to a lifestyle visual which shows ‘Emotion’; the middle ‘Focus’ part is on the product and its ‘Touch & Feel’ presentation and on the right side, the brand’s logo and product awards received are featured, showing ‘Competence’.

Capi will also highlight JBL GO speakers and its private brand Mitone, which is exclusively developed for travel retail and designed for fashion-sensitive and price-conscious travellers.
