AUSTRIA. Travel retail consumer electronics specialist, Capi, The Travellers Electronics Company and Vienna Airport have announced a new collaboration that will see a new store opening in December.
The electronics retailer will operate a 107sq m electronics store near the F gates at Vienna Airport, which welcomes over 23.4 million passengers a year with over 180 destinations in 72 countries.
Vienna Airport Senior Vice President Center Management Björn Olsson said: “We are looking forward to Capi’s arrival at Vienna Airport. Consumer electronics form an important part of the overall airport experience we present to travellers. Capi’s lifestyle store will be a fresh and inspiring addition to the shopping environment at Vienna Airport, helping to offer travellers the best passenger journey as possible.”
Royal Capi-Lux Managing Director Peter Wiggers added: “We are very excited to become a part of this exciting airport and to invest in a long-term collaboration with Vienna Airport. The airport is an important hub for Central and Eastern European destinations taking into account its position in the centre of Europe. The preparations are already in full swing to open this exciting shopping environment in December.”
The store, Capi’s first at Vienna Airport, will combine leading and premium brands, latest innovations and a trendsetting shopping environment tailored to travellers. It will also offer Capi’s private brand Mitone. The offering will be frequently refreshed. “Thanks to the company’s intense collaboration with its suppliers, travellers at Vienna Airport will also benefit from early product releases and unique propositions,” said Capi in a statement.
