Camus named Luxury Goods Advertiser of the Year by Top Com

Independent Cognac house Camus has been voted Advertiser of the Year in the Luxury Goods category by French marketing authority Top Com.

The awards, which are decided by a jury of marketing and communication experts, recognised the originality, relevance and impact of Camus’ Instant of Intensity campaign.

Camus Chief Marketing Officer Jean-Dominique Andreu and Global Brand Manager Pier Paolo Catucci accepted the trophy alongside Pierre-Anthony Couture of Carré Noir, who worked on the campaign.

Andreu recalled the challenge of representing the intensity of Camus Cognac in an advert. “We knew we had made the right choice when we asked Carré Noir to illustrate the extreme refinement of each of the Camus Cognacs, to redesign our strategy and entrust them with our brand image,” he added.

Reflecting on the campaign, Couture said: “Each visual represents the instant of intensity – the consequence of a series of perfect and balanced tasting notes – bursting out of the bottles as if suspended in time and space.”

The campaign will continue to be used in static and animated media throughout 2020.
