Calling all wine lovers in travel retail for a virtual wine hangout

The Moodie Davitt Report invites wine lovers from across the industry to a virtual travel retail wine hangout on Thursday 2 April at 6pm CET, dubbed Virtual Wine O’Clock.

The event builds on the successful Wine O’Clock workshop held at the TFWA World Exhibition in Cannes last year (organised by The Moodie Davitt Report and Singaporean communications & design agency Filtr), attended by wine companies, retailers and buyers.

The virtual event, which will be conducted on a weekly basis throughout the crisis, is free to all. It will be conducted via Zoom and will feature special guests talking wine, love and life. A different host country will be chosen for each session – starting with Italy, home to some of the world’s greatest wines but currently being ravaged by the COVID-19 outbreak.

Entry is free to all and no sponsorship or selling is allowed. The only other rule is that all participants must have a glass (or more) of wine to hand and to share their choice (virtually) with other guests.

“What better way than through the joy and universality of wine to show that while many in this industry are in physical isolation, they are not alone?” said The Moodie Davitt Report Founder & Chairman Martin Moodie. “Come share a glass with us and the travel retail community; champion this great category and toast your industry colleagues.”

Zoom log-in details will be shared to all delegates in advance. To register, please email Martin Moodie at Martin@MoodieDavittReport.com headed Virtual Wine O’Clock.
