Evolutionary science: Cabeau unveils new travel pillow range

“Evolution is a light illuminating all facts, a curve that all lines must follow” – Pierre Teilhard de Chardin

Travel products specialist Cabeau will introduce its latest travel pillow at next month’s TFWA Asia Pacific Exhibition & Conference in Singapore (Basement2, G23).

The Evolution S3 takes its name from a new seat strap system (S3) which attaches to the airline seat to keep the wearer’s head from falling forward or sideways. Cabeau said the Evolution S3 combines the brand’s ergonomic design with hi-tech features and fabrics. It is available in five colours and retails at US$39.99.

No pain in the neck: Evolution 3 is the latest addition to Cabeau’s range of travel pillows

Cabeau Founder and CEO David Sternlight said: “TFWA Asia Pacific gives us the perfect opportunity to present our pillow to retailers and airline representatives, gain feedback and further establish Cabeau as a world leader in comfortable travel products.”

Recent consumer research, the company said, indicated that 77% of travellers reported neck pain during a flight and 72% of frequent fliers indicated difficulty staying asleep.

These findings influenced the development of the Evolution S3 and its “revolutionary” head-rest wings. The brand said the Evolution S3 pillow introduces an “ultra-soft” solution to inflight sleep problems. “Every part of the pillow was engineered to provide the best possible experience for a traveller.”

Cabeau noted increased business in Asia over the past 12 months. New listings have been gained in Australia, Hong Kong, India, Macau, Singapore,  South Korea, and Thailand.

Cabeau Director of International Sales Travel Retail Denz Vanderlist commented: “We are delighted about the development we have seen in Asia over the past year. There are still multiple opportunities in the ASPAC region, with the number of travellers continuing to grow, along with an increase in buying power.”

The Evolution S3 was featured at the Summit of the Americas in Orlando last month. It is available at major national airports worldwide, and on Cabeau’s website.
