Bvlgari affirms Roman roots with elegant Paris Charles De Gaulle boutique

FRANCE. Italian luxury brand Bvlgari has opened a boutique at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport in partnership with Société de Distribution Aéroportuaire (SDA), the joint venture between Lagardère Travel Retail and Groupe ADP.

The design of the 60sq m Terminal 2E Hall L store echoes American architect Peter Marino’s latest concept for Bvlgari. The use of marble, precious stones and other architectural elements underline the brand’s Roman roots and heritage.

The partners said that the store represents a new collaborative benchmark in the watches & jewellery and leathergoods categories.

Bvlgari said that the boutique marks the start of a particularly significant year as the brand celebrates the 20th anniversary of its B.zero1 jewellery collection. To honour the landmark, Bulgari has reissued its original 1999 five-brand ring.

The 1999 five-brand ring features Bvlgari’s Tubogas method which wraps and interlocks long, thin strips without using soldering. It is available in white and yellow and, for the first time, rose gold. All designs are engraved with ‘XX Anniversary’ on their internal ferrule and are considered collector’s items by the brand.

Bvlgari Travel Retail Director of Sales and Marketing Roberto Marino said: “We are pleased to welcome travellers to celebrate this anniversary, to feel these 2,700 years of Roman heritage inspiring our jewellery craftsmanship, but also to live the Italian dolce vita conveyed in this new store.

“This boutique opening celebration is also an ideal occasion to remind our curious travellers that our jeweller heritage, combined with Swiss expertise, is at the centre of our timepiece creations.”

Watchmaker Loïc Veya was on hand in Paris to introduce customers to his craftsmanship.

SDA Chief Executive Officer Guy Bodescot commented: “Our strong and long-term partnership with Bvlgari and Paris Aéroport, guided by the excellence in service and expertise, is key to success and offering our customer an ultimate Parisian shopping experience through a complete and transversal customer journey in the Paris airport shopping area.”

Paris Aéroport Senior Category Manager Fashion and Accessories Pascale Rebardy added: “This fifth boutique embodies Paris Aéroport’s commercial strategy, which is focused on a continuous upgraded shopping and service experience.

“In this respect, the concept developed by Peter Marino for Bvlgari is a perfect illustration of this purpose: a particular Sense of Place to create a unique and exceptional atmosphere.”
