Butlers Chocolates and DAA eye beauty sector with new promotion

Butlers Chocolates’ bespoke promotional truffles

IRELAND. Premium Irish chocolatier Butlers Chocolates has created a new confectionery promotion in partnership with Dublin Airport Authority (DAA). This latest innovation will promote chocolate within the P&C space in the Loop shops at Dublin, Cork and Shannon airports.

Butlers has developed a bespoke box of creamy milk chocolate truffles for DAA, using its newly-launched spring/summer pattern. The design, described as “fresh and vibrant”, aims to target female passengers in the P&C area, who may not normally shop in the areas where confectionery is merchandised.

Travellers will be offered the 200g box (which is not merchandised in any other location at the airport) for just €5, in conjunction with any fragrance spend.

Butlers Chocolates Marketing Director Aisling Walsh said the brand was delighted to be working with DAA on developing this new approach to selling confectionery on-airport.

DAA Head of Retail Gerry Crawford commented: “Initial response from the public has been excellent. Innovation is high on our agenda and we are delighted with this new product from the team at Butlers. Driving impulse sales and increasing transaction spend is extremely important in the current environment and we hope to develop more products and campaigns such as this to maximise opportunities.”
