Budapest Airport renews contract with reserved parking firm ParkCloud

HUNGARY. Global online parking reservation provider ParkCloud has renewed its contract with Budapest Ferenc Liszt International Airport for another two years.

The renewal enhances the collaboration between ParkCloud and Budapest Airport, which provides travellers with online reservation across six on-site parking facilities.

Over the past three years, the partners have seen significant growth in booking numbers across the airport’s car parks.

Holiday Parking Lite, a long-term, cheaper parking option, saw outstanding growth in particular with booking numbers more than tripling in the last 12 months.

Record passenger numbers at Budapest Airport in 2017 means the airport must ensure it offers reliable services that add value to customers

The airport’s parking facilities also receive added exposure to passengers flying with airlines partnered with ParkCloud, notably Hungarian low-cost carrier Wizz Air.

Budapest Airport Head of Landside Services Manel Moreno said: “After reaching record passenger numbers at the close of 2017, it is more pertinent than ever that the services we offer our customers are reliable and add value to the overall customer journey.

“The partnership with ParkCloud clearly represents a synergy between our shared brand values, and as such, we are keen to develop and expand on the success of the last three years in the upcoming contract term.”

The collaboration between the airport and ParkCloud is facilitated by the integration with on-site hardware from Designa, a provider of car park management systems and access control equipment. The integration allows automatic number plate recognition and issues individual barcodes permitting automated access when scanned at the relevant car park entrance at any time.
