BTA Catering and Lagardère Travel Retail capture Amman Airport F&B contract

JORDAN. BTA Catering, majority owned by TAV Airports, and Lagardère Travel Retail, have partnered for the first time to win the seven-year food & beverage master concession at Amman Queen Alia International Airport.

The partners will take over close to 20 spaces previously run by multiple local players and by DNATA. They will open the main departures and arrivals zones by July 2020, with upgrades in the piers to follow.

Deema Anani: Confirmed the new F&B partnership for Amman Airport at The Trinity Forum in Doha

Amman International Airport Chief Commercial Officer Deema Anani confirmed the news at The Trinity Forum in Doha. She said the airport welcomed BTA/Lagardère Travel Retail’s creativity in concepts and emphasis on Sense of Place in their offer.

New concepts will include a Guy Martin Cakes & Bakes outlet, which combines concepts already run by each of the partners. There will be a local market food court zone and a strong arrivals offer tailored to meeters and greeters, who represent a big opportunity, said the airport. The partners will also help champion local food culture and partner with smaller Jordanian brands.

Later, the airport will open a new terrace with 5,000sq ft of added commercial space, which will also include new F&B.
