Brown-Forman Corporation unveils new Global Travel Retail organisation and leadership team

US drinks company Brown-Forman Corporation today revealed a new Global Travel Retail (GTR) structure and the key leadership positions within it.

The new structure, effectively immediately, comprises three geographic areas –  The Americas; EMEAI (Europe, Middle East, Africa, India); and APAC (Asia, Australia, New Zealand, Pacific Islands) – with a dedicated leader for each region.

“In line with our ambitious long-term growth targets, we are optimising our GTR business structure by consolidating it to three geographic areas to better position us for future growth,” announced Brown-Forman Global Travel Retail, Vice President, Managing Director David Rodiek.

Oscar Camargo, who previously held the position of Director GTR Europe, becomes GTR Director, EMEAI – the company’s second-strongest travel retail region. Camargo has been part of the Brown-Forman GTR team for more than five years.

Dreamy Zhou, who joined Brown-Forman seven years ago, is named Senior Manager GTR APAC. Zhou previously served as Manager GTR Southeast Asia, Australia & New Zealand.

“Monte was part of the Brown-Forman team for nearly 30 years and was instrumental in the successful development of our GTR business,” said Rodiek. “We sincerely thank him for his dedication and engagement and wish him the best in this new chapter of his life.

David Rodiek paid appropriately warm tribute to the stellar contribution of Monte Wilson to Brown-Forman and to the travel retail sector

“We congratulate Oscar and Dreamy on their new roles and look forward to further grow our GTR portfolio and business together with the entire team,” said Rodiek.

Martin Moodie writes: Besides noting the excellent appointments in the new-look team, it is important to highlight too the immense contribution to Brown-Forman and travel retail generally of Monte Wilson, that fine and so well-regarded industry veteran whose retirement is well-noted in this story by David Rodiek. Thank you Monte for what you brought to our industry over many years.
