Brandwatch 2017: Our choice of the week’s most compelling stories

In the first Brandwatch of 2017, we spotlight three products which tell three very different stories.

Our first featured brand, Louis XIII, has released a special-edition Cognac to celebrate the company’s rich history. The Origin – 1874, the first edition in The Time Collection, is a blend of up to 1,200 eaux-de-vie drawn exclusively from Grande Champagne Cognacs. What’s more, its name pays tribute to the original decanter created in 1874.

Next, we turn our attention to the highly anticipated MAC Caitlyn Jenner make-up line. Aimed at those who “embrace life in whatever form they choose”, the collection continues transgender woman Jenner’s mission to share her transition with the world.

Last but not least is a ‘hot’ new Cognac expression from Martell. Launched on 1 January, Martell Cordon Bleu Intense Heat Cask Finish uses a ground-breaking ‘chauffe crocodile’ toasting method. The product’s packaging is embossed to mirror this crocodile leather-like pattern on the oak casks.
