Borsalino takes a further step in travel retail with a new opening at Rome Fiumicino

Borsalino, the Italian hats, caps and accessories brand, has opened a second store at Rome Fiumicino Leonardo Da Vinci International Airport.

According to the brand, the 30sq m Terminal 3 boutique marks a further step in its development in travel retail. As reported, Borsalino opened a 24sq m store in the airport’s Terminal 1 in July, following its travel retail debut with the opening of a standalone boutique at Milan Linate Airport in October 2021.

The new boutique, which overlooks Terminal 3’s commercial area, is characterised by the use of glass and steel and large images of the artisanal craftsmanship behind Borsalino’s hat making. It highlights the brand’s latest collections of hats, caps and accessories for both men and women.

Borsalino Managing Director Mauro Baglietto said: “The travel retail channel is increasingly strategic for our brand.

“After our recent openings in the Milan Linate Airport and the travel boutique in Rome Fiumicino Terminal 1 last July, this new store offers us the additional opportunity to continually be in touch with more and more tourists and business people from all over the world.

“The DNA of Borsalino, started from its founder, is deeply linked to the fascination of travel and discovery,” Baglietto added.

Borsalino said the new store is part of the company’s retail development plan which includes new boutiques in Milan, Florida, Monte Carlo and Mykonos, along with a series of pop-up stores in key Mediterranean tourist destinations.
