Enhancing the customer experience: The new store’s centrepiece is a roomy, comfortable lounge area

Besides popular international products, the offer includes a particular focus regional brands selected to underline the diversity of the Bodensee (Lake Constance) region. The line-up targets the particular customer profile of the regional airport which serves as a gateway to four countries: Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Liechtenstein.

Friedrichshafen Airport Managing Director Claus-Dieter Wehr said: “When we chose BERetail as our main supplier, it was important to us that the right products were presented in the store.

“The assortment has to meet the tastes of the very different passengers in the catchment area of four countries – and that is a challenge.”

Something for everyone: The retail proposition targets the diverse needs of the regional airport’s passengers

BERetail Managing Director Martin Enk added: “We are very pleased about the new cooperation with Bodensee-Airport Friedrichshafen, because it underlines that our ‘Distribution-plus Model’ works.

“The ‘plus’stands for additional services that many suppliers are no longer willing or able to offer. We fill this gap by catering to the individual needs of each airport.”

BERetail operates stores at various airports as well as in downtown tourist-driven locations. Products include duty free items, destination and food souvenirs, confectionery and convenience goods. The company also supplies various European Union travel retailers with national and international brands through its distribution platform, and provides a range of consulting and ancillary services.
