CHINA. In big breaking news that underlines Hainan’s increasing allure to international luxury and premium brands, Baume & Mercier has become the Official Timekeeper of the inaugural China International Consumer Products Expo (Hainan Expo) set to take place in Haikou from 7 to 10 May.
The prestige Swiss watchmaker joined Expo organiser Hainan Provincial Bureau of International Economic Development (Hainan IEDB) today at a combined physical and online signing ceremony to celebrate the occasion.
Senior figures from Hainan IEDB including Director General Han Shengjian, Deputy Director General Gong Qijun appeared with Baume & Mercier China General Manager Feng (Vincent) Yanlin at the signing ceremony, and were joined online by Baume & Mercier Global CEO David Chaumet.
4月7日至20日，七个消博会名士表计时器将陆续亮相于海口日月广场、海口美兰国际机场、海口湾外滩、海南国际会展中心、三亚凤凰国际机场、三亚海棠湾亚特兰蒂斯酒店以及三亚海棠湾国际免税城。这七个计时器以暌违多年重磅回归的名士利维拉系列腕表为原型，以山海元素为灵感，与依山傍水的度假胜地海南岛相呼应。
From 7 to 20 April, seven Hainan Expo Baume & Mercier timepieces will be displayed at Haikou Mova Plaza, Haikou Meilan International Airport, Haikou Bay Bund, Hainan International Convention and Exhibition Center, Sanya Phoenix International Airport, Sanya Atlantis Hotel and Haitang Bay CDF Mall in succession.
These seven timepieces, based on Baume & Mercier’s Riviera series watches, which have made a return after many years and are inspired by mountains and seas, will echo Hainan – a resort island famous for mountain and sea scenery – Hainan IEDB said.
