BAT and TUI Airways team up to extend Velo’s inflight footprint

UK. BAT Global Travel Retail Limited and TUI Airways have partnered to extend the sales of VELO across the airline’s UK flight network.

Since late April, TUI passengers can purchase Velo cans inflight for onboard consumption allowing for a convenient, on-the-go experience for adult nicotine consumers.

Velo is BAT’s innovative white oral nicotine pouch, which has been the top-selling nicotine pouch by volume share in Sweden and Denmark over the last 12 months, the company said.

Velo products do not contain tobacco and therefore feature -99% less toxicants. This is based on a comparison of smoke from a scientific standard reference cigarette and components released during use of a Velo pouch, measured in terms of the nine components that have been identified as harmful.

Velo products are made of food-grade nicotine and water blended with eucalyptus, pine fibres, flavourings and sweeteners. They are available in a variety of flavours and nicotine strengths and are designed for adult smokers who want to enjoy nicotine without the tobacco taste.

Velo rolled out across TUI Airways’ UK flight network in late April. Velo contains -99% less toxicants than traditional cigarette products and can be used anywhere.
