Bahrain Duty Free net profits soar in Q1

BAHRAIN. Bahrain Duty Free posted a net profit of BD1,101,324 (US$2.93 million) in the first quarter of 2022, up by +65.2% or BD434,860 (US$1.16 million) year-on-year.

Chairman of the Board Farouk Yousuf Almoayyed noted a gradual return of air traffic and passengers at Bahrain International Airport. He described the Q1 net profit return as a “very acceptable result”.

Total comprehensive income for Bahrain Duty Free in Q1 rose +264.2% to BD2,369,666 (US$6.3 million).

Bahrain Duty Free Vice Chairman Abdulla Buhindi said: “The company’s positive results are the outcome of achieving our commercial goals and investment plans, which we seek to expand throughout the strategic partnerships, which will enhance the company’s returns in the long term.”
