Bahrain Duty Free net profits rise +14.2% in first nine months of 2018

BAHRAIN. Bahrain Duty Free has posted a pre-tax profit hike of +14.2% to US$17.6 million in the first nine months of 2018.

The company generated US$71.9 million in revenue during the period, an increase of +15.5%.

Strong performance: Bahrain Duty Free has reported significant growth in profits and revenues during 2018.

Revenue in the third quarter of 2018 rose by nearly +15% to reach US$25.35 million. Operating profits for the quarter amounted to US$4.2 million compared to US$3.94 million last year.

Net profits were US$5.39 million compared to US$6.04 million in Q3 2017.

Total comprehensive income for the third quarter was US$5.78 million compared to US$4.86 million in the same period last year.

Bahrain Duty Free operates several duty free outlets and other stores within Bahrain International Airport. It also runs Khalifa Bin Salman Port Shop.
