Bahrain Duty Free enhances traveller services with launch of international calling card – 31/10/08

BAHRAIN. Bahrain Duty Free and Next Generation Network Solution (NGNS) have introduced a Bahrain Duty Free-branded range of international calling cards for visitors and locals in Bahrain.

Unlike other pre-paid calling cards, both national and international calls can be made using the Bahrain Duty Free Calling Card. Calls can be made in Bahrain to any of the countries listed on the back of the card at local call rates.

The retailer said that these services are part of its ongoing effort to provide a more efficient service to travellers at Bahrain International Airport.

At the launch of the Bahrain Duty Free Calling Card, Bahrain Duty Free General Manager Steve O’Connor said that visitors travelling through Bahrain can conveniently keep in touch with loved ones and friends “at a competitive cost”.

Bahrain Duty Free General Manager Steve O’Connor said: “Bahrain Duty Free calling cards will provide visitors travelling through Bahrain the convenience of being able to stay in touch with friends and loved ones locally and internationally, at a competitive cost in comparison with other pre-paid calling cards in the market.”

The calling cards, available in BHD1, BHD2, BHD5 and BHD10 (US$2.65, US$5.30, US$13.30 and US$26.50) denominations, are accompanied by instructions in Arabic and English and can be purchased at Bahrain Duty Free outlets at Bahrain International Airport.

NGNS Chief Operating Officer Maro Simatovic said: “NGNS is proud and delighted to have pioneered the branded calling card concept in the Middle East with Bahrain Duty Free.”
