Status symbols: The limited-edition presentation tin has been created especially for the travel retail channel.

Bacardi has launched a travel retail exclusive Chinese New Year gift tin for Dewar’s 18yo across Asia Pacific and at Dubai Duty Free.

The limited-edition release marks the Year of the Pig, which begins on 5 February.

Bacardi said demand for Dewar’s was growing strongly in Asia Pacific travel retail, with double-digit sales increases recorded year-on-year. The brand owner also noted that demand was doubling year-on-year among Chinese shoppers, according to its own figures (to November 2018).

The Dewar’s 18yo blended Scotch whisky is double-aged in oak casks and is described by Bacardi as “creamy, full and well-rounded”. The travel retail exclusive 1-litre presentation box edition comes with a recommended retail price of US$99.
