TURKEY. ATU Duty Free has named the winner of its four-month lottery campaign across Istanbul Ataturk, Ankara and Izmir airports.
Customers at the retailer’s arrivals stores at the three airports received one entry for every €50 spent (excluding alcohol and tobacco) between 24 February and 20 June.
Over 45,000 entries were received and Cansu Yildız, from Istanbul, was named the winner. She will take home a Lexus RC F Carbon luxury car, which is valued at €214,295 (including taxes).
Regulations meant that only Turkish nationals and residency permit holders in Turkey could participate in the lottery, ATU Duty Free said.
The retailer will begin a new lottery campaign at the airports this month, and the grand prize will also be a car.
