Areas unveils Tequila Bar by 1800 at Los Cabos International Airport

MEXICO. Travel food & beverage and retail operator Areas has unveiled the Tequila Bar by 1800 at Mexico’s Los Cabos International Airport. In an airside space of 160sq m, it has seating for 32 in its bar area, and tables that can accommodate a further 41 guests.

A wide range of Tequilas is the staple offer of the new bar from Areas at Los Cabos International Airport

The bar offers drinks from the Tequila 1800 brand, including 1800 Cristalino Anejo, mezcal-based cocktails, gins and whiskies. An extensive menu is also available featuring a wide variety of Mexican snacks and light meals including esquites, tuna ceviche, guacamole, chili con carne and chipotle chicken baguette.

Areas is the leading F&B operator in the international terminal of the airport, where it currently holds a seven-year contract to run the entire fast food area. Brands such as Carls Jr, Subway, Sbarro, and Panda Express feature in this section and Areas also operates a fine dining restaurant, STK Steakhouse.

Areas revealed to The Moodie Davitt Report that two further new concepts will be introduced at Los Cabos International next year. Pacific Grill by Boa Steakhouse is being developed in partnership with the US’s Innovative Dining Group and the company will also open Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf in 2022, the first for that brand inside a Mexican airport.

Areas has a longstanding relationship with Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacifico, operator of nine Mexican airports. Across those airports, the company runs 32 F&B concepts and 27 retail stores, primarily convenience concepts under the brands The Market, Divers and Aeromarket.
