Areas opens eighth àTable! motorway eatery in Portugal

PORTUGAL. Areas has opened an àTable! eatery on Portugal’s main A1 motorway, which links Lisbon with Porto.

The new outlet, at the Leiria service area, is the eighth to be opened under the Colibri Via Verde brand, a dining concept created in partnership with Portuguese transportation specialist Brisa.

Areas, through its partnership with Brisa, offers àTable! dining at selected service areas on Portugal’s major motorways.

The companies launched the brand in 2017 at the A2 Alcácer service area, followed by outlets at the Vendas Novas service area (on the A6) and Barcelos (on the A3), with two points of sale each.

The àTable! outlet features popular Areas brands. The Eureka! product line-up includes food, regional wine, toys and technology. DeliCorner is a vending space and the Acqua bathroom concept is also featured.

Areas said the service area spaces provide facilities for all types of travellers, including children.

“The Colibri Via Verde brand has now become an integral part of the motorway user experience and continues its expansion plan, with more service areas already scheduled to open in 2019,” Areas added.
