Announcing Virtual Wine O’Clock – the sequel; Asia Pacific event to follow

By popular demand, The Moodie Davitt Report will  host a follow-up to its inaugural ‘Virtual Wine O’Clock’ event this Wednesday, 15 April, at 8pm CET.

A follow-up ‘Virtual Whisky & Wine O’Clock’ will be held a week later on Wednesday 22 April at (7pm Singapore/HK time, 9pm Sydney time). Full details on that event (changed from the original planned date for those who had pre-registered) to follow soon.

The first Virtual Wine O’Clock was conducted via Zoom and welcomed 70 different travel retail wine lovers (you do not have to work for a wine company or be a wine buyer) from all over the world. That first session was set (virtually of course) in Italy — home to some of the world’s greatest wines — and the initial epicentre of the COVID-19 outbreak in Europe. This time we visit Spain, a great wine-making country but similarly hard hit by the outbreak.

The home country for the first Virtual Whisky & Wine O’Clock will be New Zealand.

Entry is free to all and no sponsorship or selling is allowed. The only other rule is that all participants must have a glass (or more) of wine (or, in the case of the Asia Pacific event, whisky) to hand and to share their choice (virtually) with other guests.

To register, please email Martin Moodie at Martin@MoodieDavittReport.com headed Virtual Wine O’Clock. Zoom details will be sent out tomorrow or early Wednesday.
