US. Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport in Alaska has unveiled local concept Silver Gulch Brewery in Concourse C.

Located post security, the 3,300sq ft microbrewery offers a range of craft beers and food options including pizza. The Silver Gulch also offers a retail service for passengers to take home their favourite beers.

The 11-year contract comes with a minimum annual guarantee (MAG) to the airport of US$40 per square foot, including 12% for food and 15% for alcohol and merchandise revenues above the MAG.

Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport Concessions Manager Javier Robinson commented: “A visit to Alaska wouldn’t be complete without sampling some of Alaska’s finest microbrew. The Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport is very excited about our latest food & beverage development, Silver Gulch Brewing & Bottling Co. out of Fox, Alaska.

“Our goal is to develop concession venues that inspire passengers to experience Alaska as well as encouraging future travel back to Alaska.”

The airport’s commercial offer features 16 retail outlets, several with multiple airport storefronts. There are twelve food & beverage outlets including three with 24-hour service. HMSHost operates all the dining concepts at the airport except McDonald’s and Silver Gulch.
