“Altitude, latitude and positive attitude”: Viktor&Rolf reveals Flowerbomb In The Sky

L’Oréal Travel Retail has unveiled Flowerbomb In The Sky by Viktor&Rolf. The limited-edition fragrance, which is exclusive to travel retail, will be previewed in the UK in February before its roll-out in other regions.

L’Oréal describes the fragrance as a fresh, floral citrus take on Victor&Rolf’s best-selling Flowerbomb, which launched in 2005.

Viktor&Rolf was founded by Dutch designers Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoeren. The fashion and fragrance artists are known for their provocative couture and “playful sense of exploration”. Their latest “wearable art” has, according to L’Oréal, “altitude, latitude and above all positive attitude”.

Inspired by the world of hot-air ballooning, Flowerbomb in The Sky offers a Sense of Place through celebrating the landscapes and landmarks of each city where the fragrance will be featured. The original diamond-grenade Flowerbomb bottle is given a twist to add extra facets in pink-blue hues. The box features a cloud cover, in the same pink-blue skies colours, and the 50ml fragrance is presented with a bag which is customised to feature city skylines.

IFF Senior Perfumer Domitille Michalon-Bertier, one of the three noses behind the original Flowerbomb, worked with Viktor&Rolf to create Flowerbomb In The Sky.

The fragrance has top notes of bergamot and mandarin which combine with grapefruit essence. Its heart includes Blackcurrant Bud Absolute, Lily of the Valley Accord and floral Rose Essence on a base of Sambac Jasmine Absolute and Patchouli Heart Essence.
