Airports Authority of India calls Chennai Airport retail tender

chennai_airport_logo_150INDIA. Airports Authority of India (AAI) has called a tender for 1,000sq m of retail space at Chennai International Airport, with bids due by 15 November. The concession will last for seven years.

The winning bidder must have at least three years’ experience in retailing and a presence in at least one passenger terminal.

The company will be required to pay a minimum monthly guarantee of IR10,800,000 (US$162,000) per month, or a percentage of revenue above 13% of the monthly net sales, whichever is higher, plus applicable taxes.

The bidder is also required to pay a deposit of IR38,88,000 (US$58,300), which will only be accepted online only through the AAI e-tender portal.
