Thought leadership, sharing ideas and discussing critical topics: These are some of the elements of FAB noted by (from left to right) Zenola Campbell, Richard Gill, James Fong and Eugene Barry

Event organiser The Moodie Davitt Report has also released the first of a new series of videos in which some of the food & beverage industry’s key figures give their thoughts on the value and importance of FAB and what to expect from the event. Part one, filmed at last year’s hugely successful event in Dallas, Texas, can be viewed at the top of this page.

“FAB brings together leaders of the industry and I’m interested in learning at FAB about the experiences of other airports in other regions of the world and find those common issues that we all care about,” says Dubai Airports Executive Vice President Commercial Eugene Barry in the video.

“What I find at FAB is a huge amount of passion for the industry which I don’t think you find in other channels within the airport. There’s a great sense of energy and optimism about food at airports and it’s definitely going through a growing phase at the moment,” Barry adds.

FAB 2020 will be a showcase for Turkish culture and cuisine, with guests having the opportunity to sample the many delights of Istanbul

Changi Airport Group Vice President Landside Concessions James Fong notes that as passengers’ expectations grow, FAB provides an opportunity for industry players to get together to “step up our game”.

Dallas Fort Worth International Airport Vice President of Concessions Zenola Campbell adds that topics discussed at FAB “address some of the critical things that are going on within the industry – topics that you don’t hear about in other conferences”.
