Airport Dimensions names Ed Thorne as new Global Marketing Director

Airport lounge and travel experiences specialist Airport Dimensions has appointed Ed Thorne as Global Marketing Director.

Thorne joins Airport Dimensions from William Hill where he was Global Head of Brand. His extensive experience in the travel and hospitality sectors includes positions with some of the world’s most recognisable companies including Radisson, Hilton and Intercontinental. He joined InterContinental in 2014 as Director Brand Marketing EMEA and was named Director Customer Partnerships EMEA in 2018.

At Airport Dimensions Thorne will provide marketing leadership while creating new, innovative revenue models.

Ambaar Club at Viracopos International Airport breaks new ground for Airport Dimensions

As reported, Airport Dimensions recently partnered with VIP lounge operator Ambaar Lounge to open the first Ambaar Club lounge at Viracopos International Airport in Brazil. This marks Airport Dimensions’ debut in the South American market.

And, in August, Airport Dimensions and partner JPMorgan Chase – the American investment bank and financial services company – revealed the first three travel locations for their new Chase Sapphire Lounge by The Club concept.

The first lounge in the network is scheduled to open at Hong Kong International Airport Terminal 1 later this year. That will be followed by new facilities at New York LaGuardia Airport Terminal B and in the Boston Logan International Airport Terminal B to C Connector.
