Airmall USA celebrates Random Acts of Kindness Week at US airports

USA. Airmall USA is helping to spread some kindness to airport travellers by taking part in International Random Acts of Kindness (RAK) Week from 9 to 15 February 2015.

Throughout the week, Airmall and its tenants – including restaurants and retail stores – will be surprising airport travellers with special treats and sharing kindness tips. Participating airports include Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport, Boston Logan International Airport (terminals B and E), Cleveland Hopkins International Airport, and Pittsburgh International Airport.

Airmall (@airmallusa on Twitter) is also encouraging travellers “to help flood social media with kindness” by using the hashtag #airportkindness to share acts of kindness performed while traveling.

“Sometimes traveling can be stressful, and it has always been Airmall’s mission to help enhance and improve a traveller’s experience by making their time at the airport more enjoyable,” said Airmall USA Senior Vice President Jay Kruisselbrink.

“That’s why we’re excited to participate in Random Acts of Kindness Week in an effort to do something special for travellers to help brighten their day. In turn, we hope that they will help to further spread kindness by doing something nice for someone else. Even something as simple as smiling at a stranger can have a positive impact on both the giver and recipient,” he underlined.

RAK Week is an annual seven-day celebration started by the Random Acts of Kindness Foundation and designed to encourage people “to make kindness the norm”, according to Airmall.

The Random Acts of Kindness Foundation provides free educational and community ideas, guidance and other resources to kindness participants through their website. It also suggests a variety of ideas for people to share an act of kindness during RAK Week, including hugging someone you love, sending a positive note to someone who needs encouragement or volunteering for a worthy cause.
