USA. Airmall Maryland has opened a new Chick-fil-A outlet and renovated and expanded its Obrycki’s restaurant and bar at Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport.
Airmall Maryland vice President Brett Kelly said: “We are pleased to bring more exciting dining options for travellers at BWI Marshall. Chick-fil-A and Obrycki’s deliver the quality and variety that travellers crave when dining on the go.”
The 2,469sq ft Obrycki’s in Concourse B focuses on “authentic Maryland-style” seafood. The renovated restaurant offers seating for 115 guests, a larger patio and features reclaimed wood walls and a back bar used in the original Baltimore City location.
Menu highlights include crab cakes, which have been regarded as a Baltimore favourite since the Cernak family opened its first Obrycki’s in 1944. Named as one of the 17 best airport restaurants in the USA by Delish.com, the restaurant is open daily from 4.30am until 10.45pm.
The new 804sq ft Chick-fil-A, operated by Concessions Solution Group in partnership with Great Foods International, is the franchise’s first location in a Washington area airport.
Outstanding Hospitality Management (OHM) Concession Executive Vice President & Business Development Officer Richard Chinsammy said: “We are extremely proud to bring the first Chick-fil-A to the Washington metropolitan area airports.”
The outlet is open from 4.30am until 10.45pm Monday through Saturday. Its menu includes the ‘original’ Chick-fil-A chicken sandwich, nuggets, chargrilled chicken sandwich, waffle potato fries and a breakfast selection.
BWI Marshall CEO Ricky Smith commented: “We continue to emphasise customer service and an outstanding travel experience for our passengers. The addition of Chick-fil-A is something that our customers have asked for.”
