Air Europa launches online pre-order and pay-after shopping service

SPAIN. Passengers travelling on Air Europa can now order inflight purchases up to 72 hours ahead of their flight via a new online shopping catalogue. The items are delivered to the seat and payment is made onboard. The service is available on transoceanic flights only.

Simultaneously, Spain’s third-largest airline after Iberia and Vueling has launched a new inflight collection featuring an extensive product range. To encourage travellers to order online in advance, Air Europa is applying an additional -20% discount to the onboard prices of all inflight shopping items that are purchased on skyshop.aireuropa.com.

After logging into Skyshop, passengers enter the origin, destination and date of their flight before proceeding with the order.

Pre-order and pay on board is the model Air Europa has opted for.

In addition, the SkyTeam alliance carrier is giving passengers flying on their birth date a further birthday discount. If they order two items, the cheaper one will receive a -50% reduction on the inflight price.

Air Europa is part of the Globalia tourism group, and is a specialist in the Latin American market. It operates flights to 16 destinations in Latin America, and two each to the US and to the Middle East and Africa. The airline has its hub at Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport and carried nine million passengers in 2017.
