Aer Rianta International’s The Loop Duty Free doubles space at Auckland Airport

NEW ZEALAND. The Loop Duty Free today officially opened its expanded departures store at Auckland Airport.

The opening marks the completion of a two-part refurbishment over six months. This has doubled the Aer Rianta International-owned company’s* retail footprint at New Zealand’s busiest gateway [look out for our special on-location report from Auckland Airport later this month].

The Loop Duty Free, New Zealand General Manager Tom Byrne said, “Our team have worked tirelessly to ensure that the renovations have finished on schedule and for that I am very grateful. Having worked in duty free retail across the globe, I can confidently say that our Auckland retail offering is now amongst the best in the world.”

Creating a buzz: Three Peaks Manuka Honey is part of a wide and diverse range of New Zealand products on offer

The Loop Duty Free launched in New Zealand in July 2015, after being one of two successful bidders for the dual concession (the other was Lagardère Travel Retail/Aelia Duty Free). The revamped store boasts several new brands and close to 1,000 new items, underpinned by a commitment towards New Zealand-made products and brands.

New international brands include Alexandra McQueen fragrances and a range of limited-edition luxury items being introduced in time for the key Christmas and New Year’s holiday period.

New Zealand health and wellbeing products from Anoint Skincare, CtoMi, La’Bonic NZ Organic Skincare, Seedling, Royal Bond and Pure Shade also feature among the new arrivals.

New Zealand’s Three Peaks Manuka Honey, House of Chocolate and Zealong Tea Estate are other new additions.
