“Exchanging knowledge between travel retail experts and professionals during The Trinity Forum is an exciting and critical opportunity for the industry“ |
Mohammed Al Bulooki Chief Commercial Officer Abu Dhabi Airports Company |
UAE. Abu Dhabi Airports Company (ADAC) today outlined its support for The Trinity Forum 2013, which will take place from 29 to 31 January in Abu Dhabi.
This year’s event, hosted by ADAC, will be held at the Yas Viceroy Hotel and International Media Centre at the YAS Island Formula One circuit. The Trinity Forum, the world’s most respected airport commercial revenues conference, is jointly organised by The Moodie Report and Airports Council International (ACI).
ADAC Chief Commercial Officer Mohammed Al Bulooki commented: “Exchanging knowledge between travel retail experts and professionals during The Trinity Forum is an exciting and critical opportunity for the industry, as it allows all stakeholders to identify new trends, contribute to the customer experience on the ground, and ultimately maximises revenue growth in a challenging global market.
“This is a key focus for ADAC which strives to create unique world-class shopping experiences for its diverse audiences, especially as it refines plans for a world-class retail experience in the new Midfield Terminal.
“Following a highly successful World Route Development Forum, ADAC is committed to showcasing Abu Dhabi as a dynamic and economically strong tourism and business destination by hosting such high-profile events, and welcoming aviation industry professionals from across the globe here in Abu Dhabi.”
The Trinity Forum theme for 2013 is “˜Thought Leadership in Travel Retail’. The line-up of speakers includes some of the most influential executives in the airport commercial world, including keynote speeches from leading representatives of ADAC.
Topics of discussion will cover the industry’s evolution since the first Trinity Forum in London ten years ago, and the major challenges it continues to face in driving footfall, penetration and spend, engaging customers and using the latest insights into shopping behavior.

On the morning of 29 January, before the event begins, visitors will have the opportunity to play the stunning Saadiyat Beach Golf Club, courtesy of ADAC. The Gary Player Design Championship Course is both challenging and rewarding, with each hole boasting its own unique character. Delegates who wish to take part should do so via registration on the ACI website.
Numbers are restricted so players who are interested are urged to register as soon as possible. A pack will be given to each player which includes a polo shirt, cap, balls, tees and pitch repairer. Players without their own clubs or shoes can hire them at the course; ADAC is generously covering the cost of green fees, buggies and will provide transport to the course, leaving the Yas Viceroy at 7.30am.
A visit to the magnificent Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque promises to be a Trinity highlight |
In what promises to be another highlight, ADAC is also organising a visit to the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, Abu Dhabi, after the event concludes on 31 January. The Mosque represents great sentimental and moral value for the people of the UAE, and their leadership. It is also one of the most beautiful architectural monuments in the Arabic world.
A maximum of 100 places are available and coaches will depart from the front of the Yas Viceroy at 16.00. Delegates can register with their bookings via the ACI website, or at registration on-site.
Alternatively, for the golf and Mosque tour, delegates can also send an email to events@aci.aero noting their interest in either or both activities.
