AAA Retail & Commercial Forum attracts strong partnership support

AUSTRALIA. The Australian Airports Association (AAA) Retail & Commercial Forum continues to attract strong partnership support from leading names across the industry.

As reported, the event takes place at the Gold Coast QT Hotel on 20-21 July and is co-organised by AAA, The Moodie Davitt Report and The Mercurius Group. Registration is open at this link.

Among the leading sponsors and exhibitors to have signed up recently are house of brands Campari, foreign exchange specialist Travelex and speciality retailer WHSmith.

Campari – whose portfolio includes Aperol, Campari, Skyy vodka, Wild Turkey bourbon, Appleton Estate and Wray & Nephew rums and Grand Marnier liqueur – and Travelex will headline the exhibition, occupying showcases where airports and other visitors can learn more about their brands and services.

WHSmith will lead a showcase of Gold Coast local produce, inspired by its new concept Book Cellar, recently announced as opening soon at Gold Coast Airport (host airport for the event).

Other companies to support the Forum as sponsors or exhibitors include F&B operators FoodCo and Taste Whitsunday, Smart Carte, Planned Performance, tretailabs and Suncatcher.

They join previously announced partners including duty free retailers DFS, Dufry, Heinemann Australia and Lagardère AWPL; F&B operators Airport Retail Enterprises, Cater Care, Delaware North, ELR, HMSHost and SSP, plus out-of-home advertising players oOH!media, JCDecaux and Bishopp.

The Mercurius Group Managing Director Ivo Favotto said: “The support for the AAA Retail & Commercial Forum has been amazing. Commercial operators want to engage with airports about the future of the airport commercial sector and how we can grow revenues. Every major contributor to airport commercial revenues is supporting the event in one way or another. Given that this is the inaugural event, we are excited about the future of this Forum.”

More announcements on other event partners and speakers will appear soon. More details can be found at this link.

Just 200 places are available on a first-come, first-served basis. As reported, the Forum is a celebration of survival and resilience for the airport commercial sector as well as an opportunity for airports of all sizes to better understand how to improve non-aeronautical revenues.
